Caroline Scheufele

Practice Manager

Caroline Scheufele was born and raised on the south shore where she continues to reside with her family. She left for a brief period to pursue her undergrad in business management at Winthrop University in South Carolina. Upon returning to her hometown she chose to continue her childhood passion with animals, becoming a certified veterinary assistant. She has over 10 years experience in assistant, technical and management duties. She couldn’t dream of growing her career in any other field. Outside of a busy life with three growing girls, she enjoys riding horses, time at home or out in nature with her two dogs, cat and, newly added, 4 chickens!

Emma Ouellette

Certified Veterinary Technician

Emma brings with her 8 years with her 8 years of experience as a veterinary technician and is nearing completion of her tech school journey, eagerly preparing to sit for the national board exam to become a certified veterinary technician. Committed to providing fear-free care, she is proud to be a Fear Free Certified Professional, dedicated to creating a calm and comforting environment for pets during their clinic visits. She especially enjoys providing care to senior pets and ensuring they receive the utmost care and attention. Outside of work, she resides in Scituate with her loving husband, three wonderful kids, and two rescue dogs Loki & Arlo.

During summer, you’ll often find her in Vermont enjoying quality time with her family, where she hopes to someday have an animal sanctuary and apple orchard. She also enjoys playing on a coed rec soccer team, playing the violin, horror movies, and taking her pups on walks. She is excited to be a part of the 143 family!

Saori Charlton

Certified Veterinary Technician

Saori has worked as a certified veterinary technician for over 20 years in a variety of environments including emergency hospitals, research facilities, and general practice. Throughout her career she has worked in surgery and anesthesia services, however for the last 10 years she has been in a fast-paced and challenging 24 hour emergency veterinary hospital as a senior technician in the anesthesia department. She enjoys volunteering for Mass Audubon Blue Hill Trailside Museum offering care for wildlife and also fosters cats for Hull Seaside Animal Rescue.

Zoe Stoner

Veterinary Technician

Zoe has been working in veterinary medicine since 2010. As a veterinary technician, she adores all of the furry friends, especially the geriatric patients and has a huge soft spot in her heart for wildlife. Her passions are being a mom and photographing sunsets. She lives locally with her daughter and her 3 pugs.

Palestina Baronas

Administrative Assistant

Palestina has been around animals her whole life. She has a diverse background working with animals including in animal focused retail, veterinary medicine, and has a well rounded animal sheltering background. She currently works as a positive dog trainer in addition to assisting Dr. Watkins with administrative work for the clinic. She enjoys nerding out about animal behavior, keeping exotic pets, going to Disney World, and swimming. She lives locally with her husband Barry, two children, and her own furry and scaly zoo.

Kelli

Receptionist

Kelli is a wonderful addition to the practice. She has years of experience in vetmed as well as horsemanship. Her previous technical skills allow her to jump and help where ever needed. There is no job she can’t do! When she is not here with us you can find her enjoying time with her family and variety of dogs from small to the large!

Ely

Receptionist

Ely comes with an extensive medical administrative background on the human side but has adored animals since she was a child. 143 is her first time in the veterinary field and she loves it! She looks forward to interacting with the adorable patients and their families and learning more about the field. She enjoys writing, creative projects, and spending time with her daughter and her two cats, Rainbow and Sunny.
