Pet Pain Management
High-quality veterinary medicine treats the whole patient, from medical issues that affect physical functioning to emotional and psychological issues that affect well-being. Pain can impair the body’s physical functioning and have a negative impact on a patient’s well-being and mental state. That is why, when treating a pet for any medical condition, pain management is one of our top priorities.
Our approach to pain management entails anticipating potentially painful procedures and taking steps to manage pain from the beginning, as well as managing pain throughout your pet’s treatment and recovery process. Did you know that different types of pain can manifest differently in animals? A dog with chronic arthritis, for example, may exhibit very subtle signs of pain that go unnoticed unless you know what to look for. Fortunately, our compassionate, caring staff is skilled at recognizing signs of pain in animals and developing individualized pain management plans for our patients.
Recognizing and alleviating pain in our patients is at the heart of providing high-quality, compassionate care. We don’t take pain management lightly and will use all of our resources to ensure your pet’s comfort, well-being, and full recovery.
